Chang Xiong of Pak Express will have interesting sweet potato varieties from available for sale Saturday at market. Michelle Kozloski of Zephyr Farm will have fresh fennel Saturday. If you would like to make some holiday purchases, Sandy Agronick of Surfside Soaps will only be at the market the first three Saturdays of October ending with the Pumpkin & Paw Paw Festival on October 18.Book Sale Planning Meeting
A planning meeting for the Big Green Used Book Sale will be held Monday September 29 at 5 PM at the William Hall Library. Anyone wishing to help with the sale is welcome. We will set prices for the Oct 4 sale and decide what to do with leftover books. Book donations are still needed and can be dropped on the porches of 25 Berwick Lane , 10 & 18 Williams Avenue and 37 Ferncrest Avenue in Cranston.Apple Orchard Talk
Pawtuxet Village’s own Michael Bell will present a talk on Rhode Island apple orchards at the Pawtuxet Village Association’s general meeting, Wednesday October 1 at 7 PM at the Aspray Boathouse in Warwick’s Pawtuxet Park. All welcome and cider will be served.Brook Meeting
The RI Department of Environmental Management will hold a public meeting to discuss the water quality restoration of Warwick’s Buckeye Brook, Thursday October 2 at 7 PM in Room 100 of the Warwick Public Library on Sandy Lane. The brook has one of Rhode Island ’s last herring runs, but suffers from pollution from the Green Airport .See you Saturday, rain or shine.
