What are some of your favorite things to do and see in Cranston?
Allan Fung: I love our many neighborhoods. I enjoy talking a stroll and eating in
the many fine establishments thorughout the city, particularly in
Garden City, Pawtuxet, Rolfe Square, and Knightsville. I love ice
cream from the Inside Scoop or Sundaes. I also like to go to Confreda
Farms.
Cindy Fogarty: My family and I enjoy all that the Farmers’ Market offers, including walks, educational programs, and fresh vegetable, fruits and plants. All winter we save our plastic containers to be recycled and passed on and reused in the next season.
As a child, I remember what an event it was to drive to garden City Shopping Center to see the holiday display of lights, we still enjoy the trolley and shopping – and lately Santa at Ben & Jerry’s.
Most important to my family, would be that my husband and I celebrated our wedding reception at the Sprague Mansion.
The list wouldn’t be complete without summer Wednesday nights at the gazebo with music.

Cranston and Warwick Considering a Merger of Services
Mayors Allan Fung and Scott Avedisian are looking to consolidate their city’s services. The Herald noted that senior services, transportation, information technology, animal control, fire dispatch and maybe some library operations were under consideration.
