Comprehensive Plan Public Workshop: Open Space
Peter Lapolla, Director of Planning, reminds everyone that the Comprehensive Plan public meetings will resume tomorrow night at 6PM at the Cranston Senior Center.
The focus of the discussion will be the second draft of Comprehensive Plan’s Open Space element. It promises to be an interesting forum. The issue of open space has been in the news lately because of a handful of controversial development proposals. Visit Cranston’s web site to download a copy of the plan. Those unable to make the meeting can submit feedback on the plan by emailing them to:

Thee Euston-Fairweather Registry of Hyper Links: Trashing the New Comp Plan Edition
This edition of the Registry offers a short collection of projects from Cranston’s ugly development front. All of these developments required numerous zoning variances and comp plan amendments, all of them are out of character with their respective locales, and all of them will benefit their developers at the expense of Cranston’s residents, its character, environmental well-being, and fiscal health.
