Top 5 RI Primaries to Watch

Matt Jerzyk at Rhode Island’s Future has posted a preview of his top 5 most-anticipated primaries in the state. Number 2 was the race for State Representative in House District 16 in Cranston – between John DeGenova and incumbent Peter Palumbo. Here’s what he says about that Democratic showdown:

2. John DeGenova is running for State Representative in House District 16 in Cranston against the biggest anti-immigrant and DINO legislator in the State House – Peter Palumbo. Palumbo is a 14-year incumbent at the State House… Read more

The winner of that primary will then have to face Eileen Grossman, a Republican, and Michael McManaman, an independent. Palumbo ran unopposed in his last campaign.
