RIDOT sends a RIPTA route through Garden City
2008-06-18
If you’re wondering why bus 22 has been 9 minutes late, or hasn’t been been showing up at all, the answer is a new RIDOT-imposed route change. A new ten-ton limit restriction placed on a bridge on Pontiac Avenue is forcing RIPTA bus 22 up Sockanosset, down Midway, and back to Pontiac by way of Garden City Drive. Residents who used to catch the bus between Sockanosset and Garden City Drive on Pontiac will have to walk to either of those two intersections.
