Walk Score Cranston

2008-06-17

This might be old news for most, but Walk Score is an interesting application that uses the Google Maps API. Walk Score calculates the walkability of a location by calculating the distance to nearby stores, restaurants, schools, parks, etc. Walkability has become an important measure of success when it comes to community planning, and seeing as were in the throes of a comprehensive plan update, and a spike is gas prices, it seemed like a good time to revisit Walk Score.

You Take the iWay

2008-06-02

You West Bay folks heading to downtown from the south will no longer have the old Route 195 exits. RIDOT suggests using Memorial Boulevard (Exit 22), Thurbers Avenue (Exit 18), or India Street (Exit 2 from 195 Eastbound) for your commuting pleasure.
