    Canoe Rentals: At the lower Rhode on the Pawtuxet parking lot. Canoes, paddles and preservers are supplied. A great trip for kids. Turtles, swans, herons and Herons and muskrats are often seen on the 9 AM trip. Trips are available at 9, 10 & 11. Call Hillary at 784-8240 after May 30. $3 for adults and $1 for children.

    Wildflower Walk: Meet at the lower Rhode on the Pawtuxet parking lot and examine the Pawtuxet river flora with naturalist Rod Rodrigues. Starts at 10 AM. Free.

    Big Green Book Sale: Used books sale, 9-12 at the farmers’ market. All proceeds go to the market’s environmental projects. Book donations can be dropped off at 25 Berwick Lane, 10 & 18 Williams Avenue and 37 Ferncrest Avenue in Cranston.

Pawtuxet River Fall Clean-up

Saturday November 20, the Pawtuxet River Authority will conduct a huge river clean-up at Belmont Park in Warwick and also across the river in Cranston on Perkins Avenue. Both sites have much debris left over debris from the spring flooding. FEMA is paying for the dumpsters and PRA is mustering volunteers.
